Saying Good-Bye

On January 13, 2011, a great story that has stretched for over 90 years came to an end. My Father-in-law, a WW II Veteran, a God fearing man, a good father and husband of 69 years past on to Heaven.  His blind eyes here on earth have now been opened to the wonders of our Savior. He will be greatly missed, but it brings us joy that he is not confined to his bed any more. He can now run with Jesus!
Rest in Jesus, Harold!

Awww....that is an AWESOME pic of him in front of the Eiffel tower. Gotta love those WWII vets. There are fewer and fewer of them walking this earth with us (my sweet Daddy was one).
Sorry for your family's loss but I know you find comfort in knowing he is walking with the good Lord.

Hi Janet,

What a lovely picture of your dear Harold in front of the Eiffel Tower. May your family take comfort in knowing that he is safe and at peace and joyous in our Father's arms.
God bless him and all of our brave WWII Vets.

What a blessing Harold must have been-it is evident in your short but oh so sweet tribute. I am sorry for your loss but rejoice in your hope.

Dear Janet - I understand how you feel. I have joy knowing most of the people that were important to me have gone on to Heaven. My father, my mother, both grandparents, a dear uncle and a year ago the 20th my younger brother. I think of the words to this song, "Finally Home" imagining the first moment they woke in Heaven -
Wishing God's peace for you and your family,
