Look What I Found!

Here's a picture of my kitchen this morning. There's something new in it... well, actually it's old!
So... out of all the amazing vintage finds at our antique mall, I picked out an old vintage metal step stool as a birthday gift!
I just love it and think it goes perfect in my cottage kitchen! I've been seeing and admiring them around blogland for awhile. I especially like that it is red! I didn't realize it until later, but it is missing the back part of the seat. I still really like it though and it's in great shape.
My husband said it reminds him of one he had growing up. I think it will come in quite handy to reach up to the top cupboards or to just sit on at the center island!
My sweet daughters Jessica and Jaime.
They also celebrated their birthdays this past week. Jessica is now 20 and Jaime turned 24! They are on their way to attend a wedding right now. Jessica is wearing
4 inch heels, that's why she is so tall next to Jaime!

I have a green stool that is similar. When I first saw yours I thought-well, there is one like my own WITHOUT a back! So, I guess it orginally had one, huh?

Your girls are just gorgeous..a blond and a brunette. Now all you need is to dye your hair red and you will have all the colors covered! xo Diana

First, your daughters are absolutely stunning. Both are beautiful.

I love your step stool and it doesn't matter that the back is missing. I think it makes it a little more versatile personally. Seems like the backs get in the way. Love it and Happy Birthday. Hugs, Marty

Your kitchen is so charming. I, too, have splashes of red in my kitchen. Your daughters are beauties. My daughter's name is also Jessica. I thought it was such a pretty name, and we call her Jess for short. I love your new step stool. Have a great week ahead.

Hi, I'm Holly and this is my first time here. My birthday included an antique mall trip, too but I did not see a red step stool there. :) I would have bought it if I had! Congrats on your find. it looks great in your kitchen.

Your daughters are just lovely. I have 4 boys but I finally have grangirls and one is a blonde and one is a brunette, too. ♥

Your kitchen is so cute! I love your red step stool. It may not be missing the back. They were offered with or without a back on them. Although I have a red one in my kitchen, I have two or three to repaint and sell. One is backless. I think it looks great without a back! May even be more comfortable!
Happy late birthday!I went to the antique mall for my birthday, too. It's one of my favorite places to be!
Happy Birthday to your girls.

I haven't seen a step stool like that for years! It's precious!

Imagine a world without red
For either a robin or sled:
How drab it would be
No scarlet to see,
But only grey shading instead!

Your daughters are beautiful! I love the red stool, I have one exactly like it!!! My husband found it on the curb and he picked it up for me. I love it in red, I think I am going to paint mine white. Mine doesn't have a back on it either. I guess it's meant to be that way. Your kitchen is very pretty, I love the bunting above the window and all of your vintage kitchen utensils. Very vintage looking.
Hugs, Cindy
