The other night I had the opportunity to experience the Candlelight Processional at Disneyland. I had forgotten just how awesome this show was! I hadn't seen it in years and in fact, the last time I experienced it was when I worked at Disneyland and Cary Grant was the narrator! The Candlelight Processional is a Disney tradition that has been around since 1958 and does not disappoint!
The Candlelight Ceremony includes a full orchestra, accompanied by a tremendous choir and a celebrity narrator who reads the Christmas story from the book of Luke! It begins with the choir marching down Main Street towards the train station. Each choir member is holding a candle as the lights go dark on Main Street, which it is absolutely breathtaking to watch! The choir precedes up the steps of the train depot to form a living Christmas tree. Listening to Christmas carols and hearing the Christmas story read from the Bible at Disneyland was quite a moving experience. The celebrity guest this evening was John Stamos who did an excellent job. The grand finale is the Hallelujah Chorus as everyone stands to sing. I have to say, this was the highlight of the Christmas Season for me so far!
If you ever have the opportunity to see this, either at Disneyland or Disney World, it is certainly worth waiting for.
I found this 9 ft tree at a yard sale this past summer. I wasn't really looking for a Christmas tree in the summertime, but when the lady at the yard sale asked me if I would like a free Christmas tree, I said okay! She went on to say that she needed to get rid of it and just couldn't put it back in her garage. It seems like it was barely used and the box said $199.99! That is such a blessing!
It fits perfectly in our living room!
This is the tree in our family room.
While I was putting it up, I got an idea to set it in the vintage ice cream maker I found last summer at another yard sale. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
I also have to share this adorable little candle holder my sweet friend Sue gave me! It's made from a tea cup and saucer!
I think it's so cute and I just love it! Thanks, Sue!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Season so far.
